For a while I struggled with the idea that healing could be easy. The idea that change is always hard work or a deep and grueling process sometimes had me avoiding it all together. PSYCH-K helped me learn that sometimes I just need to show up and let my body and mind do the rest.
Heck, it can even be fun and rewarding! 

PSYCH-K is a simple and effective method that allows us to focus on what we want to achieve. Similar to updating your computer software, this is a way to make sure your inner programming (all the beliefs and attitudes you’ve accumulated up until now) aren’t interfering with your current goals and where you want to go. 

Many tools such as affirmations, talk therapy, positive thinking, willpower, journaling, etc. can be helpful, but they primarily engage our conscious mind. As we may know, thinking our way through something doesn’t necessarily change how we feel.

What is PSYCH-K?

PSYCH-K consists of a series of ten different processes that interacts with our subconscious mind. We’ll use muscle testing, belief statements, and postures to balance your brain hemispheres as it relates to the specific issue you want to work on. As we reach a whole brain state, this allows you to reduce or eliminate the stress associated with your problem and create new sustainable behaviors, attitudes, thoughts, and perceptions.

How PSYCH-K can help change your brain’s opinion 

Many experts in the field of somatic therapies refer to the subconscious as the body itself. Our life is experienced through our physicality, senses, and nervous system - including all emotions and traumas. 

When there is subconscious stress around a situation or condition, communication between the hemispheres of the brain is compromised. This means we approach the issue with only half of the brain and we may over identify with one hemisphere. This can create challenges like rumination, reactivity, health conditions, difficult emotions, and limited perspective. 

PSYCH-K works to bring balance and coherency between the two hemispheres of the brain, eliminating hemispheric conflict.

How long will it take before I see a change? How often should I do PSYCH-K?

You can have as many sessions as you’d like, it’s up to your personal discretion and needs. The amount of change can vary from each person and topic. There are some who report noticing immediate benefits, whereas for others it takes time for integration to occur. It’s often the case that changing one core belief with a balance has a domino effect on others.
